We're thrilled to announce that Q-PLAN organized the Regional Policy Workshop at OK!Thess in Thessaloniki, Greece, on March 14th.

Focused on Bioeconomy Education and identifying measures to design a better strategy in Bioeconomy Skills Development, this workshop brought together experts, stakeholders, students, and innovators passionate about driving progress in the region. We strategized on actionable measures to enhance Bioeconomy Skills Development, fostering innovation in the Bioeconomy ecosystem in Greece.

The workshop identified areas for improvement, such as the need for clearer communication about bioeconomy-related events and more opportunities for practical experience through summer schools, internships, and student groups.

The main goal of the workshop was to identify measures for enhancing education in the Bioeconomy sector. Some of the suggested measures aim to bridge the theory-practice gap, incentivize continuous learning, improve stakeholder coordination, and track intervention effectiveness, ultimately fostering innovation and sustainability in Greece’s bioeconomy sector.

Together, we’re paving the way for a brighter, more prosperous future in Bioeconomy Education.
